CDA Knowledge Networks has created a number of new media products tailored for the Canadian dental professional under the ‘CDA Oasis’ banner. These include CDA Essentials / L’essentiel de l’ADC magazine, the Oasis Discussions community of practice website, the Oasis Help point of care tool, the CDA Oasis mobile app and the CDA Oasis Bulletin email newsletter. These media have been designed to promote the sharing of good existing knowledge in formats that are user-friendly for the busy practitioner.
CDA Essentials is the official print publication of CDA, published 8 times per year in English www.cda-adc.ca/essentials and in French www.cda-adc.ca/fr/services/essentials/. CDA Essentials is a magazine-style publication featuring articles on the latest news, issues and clinically relevant information in Canadian and global dentistry along with summaries of clinical material from CDA Oasis knowledge products. The magazine is mailed to every licensed dentist in Canada who is a member of CDA through their provincial dental association as well as to CDA Affiliate Members. Print circulation is ~17,000.
Oasis Discussions (www.oasisdiscussions.ca) is a website that answers your clinical questions, discusses issues related to the profession, voices dentists’ experiences, touches on the business of dentistry and showcases innovations in the dental industry. Dentists can also submit clinical questions anonymously on the site and answers will be provided in a timely manner from reputable sources.
The CDA Oasis mobile app is freely available from the App Store (iOS) and Play Store (Android). The app allows you to access the latest Oasis Discussions posts. You can also send your clinical questions, photos and images of clinical cases to share with your colleagues through the “Upload your Content” feature.
CDA Oasis Bulletin is a weekly email newsletter that updates dentists on CDA’s knowledge products and on the most recent dental news stories and events that come across our desk. To subscribe to the CDA Oasis Bulletin, please send an email to publications @cda-adc.ca or call toll-free at 1-855-71-OASIS.
