Clinicians, dental assistants and front office staff can all play a role in a successful first dental visit for infants and toddlers. This audiovisual presentation provides general guidelines on providing a child's first dental visit as part of everyday practice, including guidance on how to interact with parents and the child, the knee-to-knee examination technique and what to do if tooth decay is found.
